Kate Maple (CZ)

The folk-rock band Kate Maple has been active on the Czech music scene since late 2023. Since then, they have released several singles and, in early 2025, their debut EP Those Days Before. The band collaborates with notable figures from the Czech music scene, such as Igor Ochepovský (Ewa Farna, David Koller) and Jan Brambůrek (Houpací koně, Vypsaná fiXa).

Kate Maple has achieved success both at home and abroad — they became finalists of the Showcase of the Ústí Region (2023), semifinalists of the UK Songwriting Contest (2024), and won 3rd place at the national round of Porta in Svitavy (2025). Their music has also attracted attention from Czech media, including Refresher and Frontman.cz. Band members have also appeared as guests on the ArtCafé programme on Czech Radio Vltava.

The band has played dozens of concerts across the Czech Republic and, in summer 2025, performed at festivals such as Rock for People, Praha žije hudbou and Festival Regiony in Hradec Králové.

Kate Maple are known for their three-part vocal harmonies, which form a defining element of their distinctive sound combining elements of folk, rock and americana.
