The traditional Prague festival United Islands will cross the city limits for the very first time. With its club-concert project, it is heading to Brno’s ArtBar on 27 September 2025. The main headliner will be the rising domestic post-punk/emo-rock formation RUWORR!ED, led by Šimon Zahradník – who will also perform this October alongside Palaye Royale and Yungblud. Tickets for the Brno show are already on sale.
The line-up for the Brno night curated by United Islands and the music platform Klubovna will also include the energetic punk-rock trio The Desperate Mind and the fast-emerging psychedelic/stoner sensation Sloth. An afterparty with DJ Nagano and Klubovní Pouštěčky will follow.
“We’re heading to Brno under the motto ‘Brno for Future’ because we believe all the performers have a very exciting road ahead of them. Šimon and his project RUWORR!ED have skyrocketed over the past year, and I’m thrilled they’ll perform on their home turf. Brno has always welcomed us with open arms, and it’s time to bring a fantastic event back to the city. I’m convinced that ArtBar won’t forget this night anytime soon,” says Michal ‘Gumi’ Nguyen, United Islands dramaturge and founder of Klubovna.net.
“Things happen fast when you give them everything. The moment with Yungblud showed me anything is possible, and now more doors are opening. It’s great to play with United Islands and Klubovna at home and show fans our real energy. It’s going to be a blast,” adds Šimon Zahradník.
For more than 20 years, United Islands has been discovering new musical talents from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and across Europe. The festival revived its club nights in 2024 and has since been bringing themed evenings and fresh music discoveries to unique clubs around the country.
“I’m glad that after three years of club concerts we’re finally heading beyond Prague. Brno is a natural choice – it has a strong music scene, a great audience and the kind of energy that United Islands thrives on,” says Martin Štěrba, Executive Director of the festival.
