The Oscar-winning film Mr. Nobody Against Putin will also be screened at United Islands.

On Friday, May 1, we will celebrate 22 years of the Czech Republic in the European Union. At the same time, we’ll be reminded that even someone who may seem like “Mr. Nobody” at first glance can achieve great things — even stand up to Vladimir Putin. This year, for the first time ever, we will publicly screen the Oscar-winning documentary Mr. Nobody Against Putin on Friday, May 1, 2026 at 21:30, right at the festival. And it won’t be just a screening. The director will be there. The main protagonist will be there. And yes — the Oscar statuette will be there too.

This year, we set out to create a stronger accompanying programme that stands as an equal partner to the music line-up, and we believe we’ve succeeded.
