Music Against Aggression: United Islands Will Make Noise in Front of the Russian Embassy. Noise for Ukraine to Sound for the Third Time.

The United Islands festival, together with Czech and international partners, is joining the commemoration of the fourth anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. On Tuesday, 24 February at 5:00 PM, the public is invited to Ukrajinských hrdinů Street for a 90-minute concert titled Noise for Ukraine, which will serve as a musical expression of resistance to ongoing Russian aggression and a symbol of solidarity with Ukraine.

Artists performing at the special concert will include the band Zrní, actor and singer Šimon Bilina, singer and actress Jitka Čvančarová, poet and rapper Cermaque, singer-songwriter Kvietah, and others. Music will thus become a language of dissent and support, and a reminder that the war in Ukraine is not a distant conflict, but an event affecting all of Europe.

“Once again this year, we will gather in front of the Russian Embassy, because silence means consent. Noise for Ukraine is a clear signal that we long-term oppose Russian aggression and that Ukraine is not alone,” says Jura Pátek, one of the initiators of the event.

“Through this musical gathering, we want to loudly pay tribute to all Ukrainian heroes who have been defending not only their country for four long years, but also the values on which a free Europe stands,” adds Martin Štěrba, Executive Director of the United Islands festival.

The Noise for Ukraine concert is part of a broader wave of civic and cultural activities taking place throughout the day on Monday, 24 February. With this initiative, the United Islands festival is joining the international voice of solidarity with Ukraine for the third time. The special event is convened by United Islands in cooperation with the Embassies of the Netherlands, Latvia, Finland, Luxembourg, Canada, Ireland, Denmark, Belgium, Sweden, Norway, and many others.
