Marie April & The Fools (CZ)

Marie April is a twenty-year-old Czech-American singer-songwriter based in Prague. After posting her music on social media, she was approached by a local producer in 2023, leading to the release of her debut single "heal a soul". In January 2024, she formed the six-piece band "Marie April & The Fools", which fuses jazz, soul, rock, and indie into a distinctive sound. The band quickly gained attention on the Prague underground scene and made a name for itself at numerous domestic and international festivals. In May 2025, Marie released her debut album "tangerines", a raw and emotionally honest exploration of growing up, love, death in a close-knit family, and the search for identity. The album is grounded in improvisation, free flow, and a commitment to unfiltered creative expression. With heartfelt lyrics, genre-spanning arrangements, and a powerful concert presence, Marie April is becoming a stand-out voice on the Czech independent music scene.
