Indie rock band Bilk are coming to United Islands 2026

Bilk are a British indie rock trio from Chelmsford, Essex, consisting of Sol Abrahams (vocals and guitar), Luke Hare (bass) and Harry Gray (drums). The band debuted in 2018 and, following a run of singles and EPs, released their self-titled debut album Bilk in 2023.

They cite influences such as The Jam, Arctic Monkeys, Jamie T, The Streets, Sex Pistols, Nirvana and poet John Cooper Clarke. Formative inspirations also include Green Day, Oasis, Slowthai and Dizzee Rascal. Abrahams describes their second EP Allow It as a blend of ’90s punk and old-school hip-hop. Lyrically, Bilk move between personal storytelling and social commentary — the track Stand Up, for example, openly criticises the Conservative government.
