Sexual harassment occurs in an environment where loud music is played, alcohol is drunk, drugs are taken and dancing takes place. Someone touches you when you don't want them to, forces you to do something, refuses to leave even after you tell them you are not interested in talking to them. This kind of behaviour can spoil a person's fun, but it can also make them fearful. We believe that such behaviour does not have to be part of nightlife or festival life and that going out to have fun does not necessarily mean that we have to endure unwanted touching and pressure.
In 2016, an Amnesty International poll came out saying that 67% of Czechs think that rape is the victim's fault. In response to this devastating result and public attitudes towards sexual violence in general, the Consent Project was created to spread awareness about sexual violence and harassment. One of the slogans is that it is not the short skirt that is to blame for rape, but the rapist.
