UNITED ISLANDS OF
PRAGUE FESTIVAL enjoys
the patronage of the Vice-president of the
Czech Government and the Minister of the
Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Mr.
Cyril Svoboda, and the Mayor of Prague,
Mr. Pavel Bém.The festival will take
over all of the big Prague islands. Cultural
events have already been frequently organized
on some of them, the others are practically
unknown to public. Císařská
louka, Libeňský ostrov or Císařský
ostrov belong to the most mysterious corners
of Prague. They offer novel views of the
city and untouched nature as well. The islands
also provide great opportunity for family
walks and resting place away from the festival
activities. The program will take place
on the islands during a day and continue
at many Prague clubs at night. The closing
concert will take place at the T-Mobile
Arena in Prague.
United
Islands of Prague festival
is
a contribution of the festival partners
Ceska sporitelna, Kooperativa, Czech Airlines
and Pilsner Urguell to the accession of
the Czech Republic into the European Union.
The festival will begin just before the
official accession of the Czech Republic.
Its last tones will sound already at the
regular member country.
